Early Years Program (2.5 Years Old)

A smart start for holistic learning

Preschool provides diversified and innovative learning experiences to build different intellectual capabilities for your little ones. At IHS, at this stage, learning practice is informal and is done through the play-way method using specially designed aids. This way of teaching has proven to develop an ever-lasting curiosity in children to keep learning while playing and interacting with peers/instructors. Preschool is the first step to transform into formal schooling and IHS makes sure that this transition from informal learning at home to formal and disciplined learning at school is smooth for toddlers.

Pre-Nursery students learn alphabets and numbers through phonetics and music in an enjoyable atmosphere using interactive and multimedia techniques. The teaching-learning process is child-centric, activity based and imparted by playful methods to develop confidence, social skills, verbal abilities and motor skills in children.

Primary Years Program (G-1 TO G-4)

We help our children gently transition from the pre-primary playful setting to a more structured environment by providing a positive and supportive atmosphere where learning is enjoyable. In addition to academics, we ensure that our children get an all-round education. Dance and music classes, Physical Education, club activities, computer classes, reading classes are a part of the regular time-table. Each child is given an opportunity to be on stage by participating in class assemblies. Children are taken on educational field trips which give them a deeper understanding of the world they live in. Teachers in the Primary department aim to compassionately and firmly prepare the children for the world that lies ahead of them. Children who need additional learning support are given guidance by teachers after school hours.

Middle Years Program (G-5 TO G-7)

The Middle School Department is a nurturing ground for the holistic development of all students. This department tirelessly caters to the academic and emotional needs of the students and focusses on encouraging out of the box and innovative thinking. Here also all extracurricular activities like literature clubs, sports, art and music are encouraged. Children carry out experiments and practical learning in Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories. Regular assessments and feedbacks are given promptly.

Higher Class Program (G-8 TO G-10)

Our higher Education program brings in subject matter experts as teachers who pool in their years of knowledge and ensure that students are prepared for the academic challenges that await them. Our constant endeavour is to ensure complete understanding of concepts and to seek new innovative means to deliver the curriculum.

The Curriculum prescribed by the ICSE council is delivered effectively through Smart classes, wherein classes become an interactive area of learning rather than a passive one. Each lesson is planned so that "Smart Class" becomes a supplement to the teachers not a substitute for them.
